brisbane gay guide

Brisbane is only a small city, but it has a surprisingly active gay scene, particualrly seeing as the political climate was fairly unsupporting untill recently. A number of the original venues that I remember from my mis-spent your are now closed byt have been replaced by an ever-expanding selection of gay, lesbian and general venues.

Gay venues in Brisbane include hotels/guest houses, bar and discos, and saunas and othe sex on premisis venues. There are two sets of listings, one by type (hotel, bar, etc) with a full description, the other with name and address only. The listings will be expanded as I investigate other gay related business and venues in the area!

The two main concentrations of gay places in Brisbane are in Fortitude Valley and Spring Hill, both both of which border on the edge of the city, but there are a few venues in suburbia as well.
