This month, some recent releases from Prowler Books that are not quite designed for reading on the bus or in other public places!
Part of the "Just Eighteen" series from Prowler, and described as a "shocking account of the sleazy underbelly of Los Angeles", this is supposedly the "frank and full-on diary" hot from the mouth of an 18-year-old male prostitute - but if this is a real diary, then Oscar Wilde was right about a diary being sensational reading! Ignoring such trivialities, Joey (or whoever) does actually manage to get up to some interesting things in the course of his selection, evaluation and eventual work as a cute young thing for hire from an up-market specialist LA agency catering to clients who like them young looking (but legal). The action is thick and fast and there is plenty of it, and the stories that make up the book are varied and usually well written and many of them give quite an interesting context to the sex. As with all good sex these days, a condom is always present, and the safe sex message is always positively promoted and made a natural part of the fun. As a one-handed read it is a fairly good job, and if your fantasies include the "barely legal" type of experience, then you should give this a try.
Another in the "Just Eighteen" series, and more tales of hustling, this time on the streets, or actually off them, in place called, appropriately enough, "Boyland Park". There is more than enough graphic descriptions of sexual encounters in the book to justify its classification as "erotica", but unfortunately most of the time the descriptions are a bit stilted and unnatural and I found this very distracting. I read a rather funny book a while ago which suggested that computers could be programmed to produce porno stories, and some of the scenes in this book read as if they were written by a computer without much interest in natural English grammar and a particular aversion to pronouns. But I suppose this is a bit like criticising the lighting in a porno video! Diary of a Hustler is I think a better read, but if you like your sex in the bushes, then give this a try.
